332 Washington St. NW, in Gainesville, GA is a 3-story mass masonry building
with multiple brick layers. The building is referred to as “The Gym of 36” as it
was originally the gym for Gainesville High School. The building was
renovated in 1991 to include a new standing seam metal roof and storefront
windows on the second and third levels.
Work of this project included; tuckpointing the exterior masonry mortar joints,
wet sealing of windows, and replacement of cracked/damaged individual
bricks, steel lintel painting and/or repairs, louver replacement and /or
repainting, sealant repairs, and masonry crack repairs. Lastly, it includes
cleaning all of the brick and cast stone and applying a clear penetrating water
repellant.
